Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how PromptExtract handles information when you use the image to text prompt generator.
Information We Process
- Account information: When you sign in with Google, we store basic Google profile information such as your email address, name, avatar URL, provider ID, login time, and credit balance.
- Uploaded images: Images you upload are sent to our server to generate prompts. Uploaded images and generated prompt text may also be stored in Cloudflare R2 and D1 to provide account history, operate the service, and investigate security or reliability problems.
- Chrome extension images: The PromptExtract Chrome extension processes only an image you explicitly select through its image context menu or file picker. It does not passively collect other page content, images, or browsing history.
- Extension authentication: After Google sign-in, the extension stores a revocable PromptExtract session token in Chrome extension storage. It does not store your Google access token. The PromptExtract token expires after 180 days and is revoked when you sign out of the extension.
- Credit activity: We store credit grants, generation spends, and refunds so the daily credit system works correctly.
- Usage data: Basic server logs (such as IP address and request timing) may be collected for security, rate limiting, and service reliability.
- Product analytics: We may record first-party analytics events such as page views, button clicks, selected pricing plans, anonymous browser identifiers, session identifiers, referrers, user agent strings, and hashed IP addresses to understand product usage and improve the service. If you are signed in, these events may be associated with your account ID.
- Third-party AI processing: Image analysis is performed through a configured AI provider API. That provider processes the image according to its own policies.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not expose API keys in the frontend.
- We do not use the Chrome extension to monitor browsing activity or collect images that you did not explicitly select.
- We do not allow people to read selected images or generated prompts except with your explicit consent for support, when required for security and abuse investigation, or when required by law.
Cookies and Verification
We use a secure session cookie to keep you signed in. We may also use browser storage to maintain an anonymous analytics identifier and session identifier. If Cloudflare Turnstile or similar verification is enabled, those services may set cookies or collect signals to prevent abuse. Refer to Cloudflare's privacy documentation for details.
Data Retention
Account records, credit activity, uploaded images, and generated prompts may be retained in Cloudflare storage to operate the service and provide account history. There is no automatic deletion schedule in this deployment. You may contact us to request deletion. Server logs may also be retained for a limited period for operational and security purposes.
The extension stores the current image job in Chrome session storage, which is cleared when the browser session ends. Prompt format preferences and the revocable PromptExtract session token remain in extension storage until they are removed or the extension is uninstalled.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data handled by the extension is used only to provide or improve its user-facing image-to-prompt function, maintain account security, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable law.
Your Choices
Do not upload images containing sensitive personal information you do not want processed by an AI service. You may sign out or stop using the service at any time.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
